2025 Digital Jeolgi Journal
Hansoom will donate a portion of proceeds from journal sales to wildfire relief efforts in LA.
The Hansoom Jeolgi Journal is a digital book about the 24 solar terms traditionally used by the Korean people. The first season in the Jeolgi is 입춘 (Ipchoon), which begins on February 3, 2025, and the last season is 대한 (Daehan) which ends in February of 2026. If you’ve purchased the Jeolgi journal before, please note that all dates have been updated for 2025, but not much else has changed.
For each Jeolgi season, the journal provides the dates of the new or full moon, important dates and holidays in Korean culture, information about what is traditionally done during the season or a particular holiday, and an invitation to a seasonal ritual. While certain dates and moons are precise for North America, each ritual was created with deep intention as to be accessible to Koreans living anywhere in the diaspora. For each season, you will also find a page to write down any reflections about the season, your activities, and what comes up for you.
With your purchase, you will receive a zip file with the following digital files:
A pdf file of the book
A print-friendly pdf file of the journal (pages are ordered so they can be printed and folded/stapled as a half-letter sheet booklet)
A txt file with print instructions
Upon purchase, you will receive a secure link to the file lasting 24 hours after the first download.
A note on file sharing: We have not taken measures to prevent the sharing of the jeolgi journal as we want to make the jeolgi as accessible as possible. However, we encourage those who can to purchase the digital journal directly from us as your purchase supports our ability to create. If the cost is prohibitive for you, please reach out to us at hansoomhansoom@gmail.com.
